About the Captains
Smitty
Best record in GRC (22-9-6).
3-Time MVP(2012, 2017, 2019).
1-0 as a co-captain.
Smitty has been agitated since the Quinn/Callans year. He's broken bones, stopped running the Fitness Challenge, and might be on the break of a nervous breakdown. But then again, he's a gamer, has another stellar Celtic team ready to pounce, and can/will reach in the draft to get his comfort pillow, Vitas, so that the world will be right.
Mike Fagan
7th in GRC History with 18-13-6 record.
2-time MVP (2009, 2011)
0-1 as a co-captain.
Mexican has found distance in his drives over the past months and putting will never be an issue. Chipping however, if you want to call that, is causing him to seek counseling, possibly pay for lessons, and haunting him at night. Fagan blood runs deep, but 3Wood has the edge with being nasty. Mike will need to massively help his team this year.
Jimmy 3Wood
Top 2 of best dressed for GRC.
Would have 90% win ratio if golf was played with 1 club.
0-1 as co-captain.
2-10-2 in last 2 years of GRC.
Jimmy has struggled a bit since 2022 when he was lights out on the greens and from 150-180 yards. He is trying to get DraftKings to sponser his team and will be providing gambling locks throughout GRC. Expect him to go 2-1 against his brother during the week and 3-4 rolls of colored medical tape being flashed.
Mickey Smith
2-Time MVP (2007, 2013)
2-Time Captain Award
1-0 as a co-captain.
Stinger will always be confused. Stinger just doesn't understand how Mickey's teams win, Mickey's record is above .500 overall, and how Mickey can stay positive after hitting a ball 175 yards left and right of the target twice in a row. Mickey will bring intelligence to the challenges, experience, and draft knowledge to team Mick/Fagan. They will need to do everything right to win.

Team M Fagan / Mickey should be named "The Green Mexicans"
Three 4-week sessions of Club Modz has proven how good of golfers Stinger and Modz continue to be, Tonelli/Rossetto much more solid than expected, and moderate shank stretches from Zajeski, Mexican, and a massive stretch from Holmes (but appears to be turning it around). Mickey almost hit a hole-in-three, 3-Wood used a 3 wood from 150 yards out, and any team that had VT on it seemed to do almost as well as those with Stinger. Club Modz isn't the same without the bald, goatee horseman that lives in Colorado now, but it has been once again instrumental to making winter go by quick.
