TEES USED:
All play will be done from the white tees or the color closest corresponding to the white tees. Any issues or questions on tee usage will be addressed by the Galena Rules Committee (Mark Smith, Dave Holmes, and Mike Fagan).

SCORING SYSTEM FOR BEST SCORE

10 points for each match won
-
1 point for each additional hole won once the match is officially over for winning team.

½ point for each additional hole won once match is officially over for losing team.

BONUS POINTS

1 point for a birdie
-
2 points for an eagle
-
3 points for albatross or hole-in-one

7 points for winning all 18 holes in a match

BEST SCORE RULES OF PLAY

A match will consist of two players per team selected by the team captain

Each player plays their own ball until it is holed out or picked up

The player on the team with the best (lowest) score on the hole is the score used on the scorecard.

GOLF RULES:
1. Everything must be putted out unless the putt is given to you by your opponent
2. If you hit a ball OB (out of bounds) from the tee box or if you suspect your ball may have gone OB you must take point of entry and a penalty stroke. You get one club length from point of entry, no closer to hole. Point of entry must be agreed upon by both teams
3. If you hit a ball into an area that the ball is not be found (trees, tall grass, etc.) you must drop at the point of entry, take a penalty stroke, and follow same rules as #2.
4. Players are not to take a provisional or return to the tee box to speed up play.
5. Play all stakes as stated in the rules of golf or agreed upon by all in the group.
6. Entry fee is $100 per golfer.
7. Closest to the pin for each round will be played at $1 per hole per par 3. All must participate.
8. A captain can pair up the same two people ONLY ONE TIME.
9. During match play the opponents will ride together in a cart. All other rounds teammates may ride together.
10. One scorecard will be turned in per foursome and that will be considered the official scorecard for the foursome. This scorecard will be turned into Smitty at the conclusion of the round and signed by one member of each team prior to turning in the scorecard.
11. All players in the foursome should help to find a lost ball whether it is a player from their own team or an opponent. This will help speed up play.
12. You have a maximum of five minutes to find a lost ball per PGA Rules.
13. Absolutely no fluffing is allowed!
14. Range finders are allowed but must be shared with the opponent.
15. Fagan will have an official copy of the PGA rules for any questions.
16. Smitty will explain how to fill out scorecard after draft night. It is expected that the person with the official scorecard will fill out the proper way.
